Miraidoor Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Chairman and President: Daisuke Sawada; hereinafter "Miraidoor") announces that it has executed an investment in LEP Inc. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; CEO: Takeharu Takamoto; hereinafter "LEP"), which aims to fully implement the social adoption of glowing plants, from the Kansai Mirai Success Support Investment Limited Partnership (hereinafter "Kansai Mirai Venture Fund") jointly established with The Kansai Mirai Bank, Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President: Kazuhiro Nishiyama; hereinafter "Kansai Mirai Bank").

◆About the Investee Company LEP is a startup that develops plants capable of self-illumination without a power source, with the vision of "realizing a sustainable and affluent society by bringing emotion and healing to life through glowing plants." Lighting, which accounts for approximately 15% of global energy consumption, is a factor in global warming. To address this social issue, LEP applies the world's most advanced bioluminescence technology owned by Osaka University and creates plants that glow with high brightness and diverse colors through its proprietary genetic technology. Starting with an exhibition at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, it has begun operations in spatial production and exhibition business. In the future, it aims to expand into floriculture business such as glowing cut flowers and potted plants, and further into energy business as an alternative to lighting, such as street trees, contributing to the reduction of power consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. It will create a rich future through the emotion and healing brought by natural light.

It targets venture companies at a wide range of growth stages, including the early stage where fundraising often poses challenges, and invests with a view to the growth potential and future prospects of their businesses. ◆About Miraidoor It engages in "Regional Revitalization Funds" to support local venture companies, "CVC Funds" to promote open innovation of operating companies, and "Theme-Based Funds" that set specific investment areas to support industry revitalization.
